Queenstown Hill

Monday, May 24. Yesterday I was a nice and relaxed day spent strolling by the lake front.

A view of the lake with a ship passing by.

Today I decided to go on the Queenstown hill hike. It was a very cloudy day and started to rain just as I took the first few steps.

I had the thought of turning back but resisted the urge. I felt out of shape again because there was alot of uphill. I must lay off those tasty evil biscuits!

I came across many red mushrooms on this trail. I was told that they were poisonous, so no eating.

The hike took nearly two hours. Afterwards, I went over to the Nomad hostel to warm up in front of their fireplace.

Later in the day, I met two guys from Holand and a girl from Finland. We went out in the evening, first to the Altitude bar for some karaoke. Then to The World Bar for some dancing. Music was too loud though. I had to scream to be heard. Ouch, my throat started to hurt!
