Poker shark in Wellington?

Tuesday, May 11th. We stayed at a lodge in the Tongariro National Park last night and it was one of the best places I stayed in.

Today drove to Wellington. This is a view of the city from the top of Mount Victoria.

In the evening, I met Michael, a local that I contacted through the couch surfing website. I cooked us a steak dinner in my YHA hostel. Then Michael took me to the local couch surfer gathering to have a cup of hot chocolate, followed by a game of poker.

I haven't played poker and ages and needed a refresher on the rules. It was a fun night. The game had a cut off time because everyone had to work the next day. I came in second after the chip count and won two dollars afters getting back the buy in money.
